What is a BIOS?

BIOS is an acronym that stands for Basic Input Output System. The BIOS is responsible for booting your PC by providing a basic set of instructions. The BIOS performs all the necessary tasks that need to be initiated at start-up time: POST (Power-On Self Test, booting an operating system from FDD or HDD). In essence, it is necessary to upgrade the BIOS on your PC in order to maintain or inevitably obtain compatibility with the PC industries latest hardware, software and operating systems.

Instructions for running BIOS Wizard with Microsoft Internet Explorer:

Click on Download above to begin.

1. When you receive the File Download dialog box,
choose "Run this program from it's current location" then click OK.

2. If you receive a dialog box asking whether you want to install and run the BIOS Wizard utility, choose "Yes".

3. Follow the instructions provided by BIOS Wizard.

Instructions for running BIOS Wizard with Netscape Navigator:

1. Save file "bwz.exe" to your local hard disk and run it.

2. Follow the instructions provided by BIOS Wizard.
